News broke out over the weekend as the facility manager of the West Hills Mall was arrested for blocking the entrance to the Weija China Mall.
The facility manager of West Hills Mall and a contractor were arrested on Saturday, October 30, 2021. The facility manager and his accomplice were granted bail after making their first appearance in court on Monday, November 1, 2021, for blocking the entrance to the China Mall at Weija with rocks.
The two have been charged with “conspiracy to commit crime, being on a premises for unlawful purposes, offensive conduct conducive to the breach of peace and trespassing”.
The manager, James Mensah and the contractor, Samuel Annum Adjei pleaded not guilty to the charges proffered against them.
It is presumed that the motive was one of fear of competition on the side of the West Hills facility manager. Needless to say, public sentiments are scaling towards the support of China Mall and the economics of affordability. China Mall’s products are simply affordable.
While the West Hills Mall and others like them lean towards a targeted niche, China Mall’s target market is anyone really. From stationery to furniture and kitchen and bathroom hardware, China Mall seem to have become the best option for shoppers this coming holiday season.
