Kusi Kubi is creating new and riveting fashion out of the old. Creative director, stylist and fashion photographer, Kusi Kubi is cultivating a niche with his artistic concepts and now fashion designs.
Having worked with big names such as Labrinth, Mr. Eazi and Omah Lay, Kubi is bringing his years of experience and talents back home. The British-Ghanaian and owner of fashion label PALMWINE iceCREAM, is turning hand-me-downs into thrift shop treasures. Using secondhand clothes from Kantamanto, Accra, Kubi is creating clothes that non-conforming clothes that are yet Afrocentric. His signature use of gold chain mail and diamond-sequin fabric is a novel addition to Ghanaian street fashion.
We are absolutely in love with Kusi Kubi’s designs and concepts on the Gram. His Instagram is literally a coffee table lookbook and the aesthetic is nouveau-riche in a way that feels nostalgic. We could not help but put a spotlight on it and share.
