Her passion was unearthed when she discovered the Carlton Hair Academy. It was there she was formally trained for 2 years. This opportunity paved way for her to learn extensively on how to handle all hair types. She gained a lot training on Caucasian hair. However, she found her metier in Ethnic Hair.

Mimi also known as urban mimiz is  a well sort after hairstylist. She has worked Caster Semenya and has featured in Avant-garde cover stories like Standard Bank’s Avant Card Campaign with Trevor Stuurman and Bubblegum Club. She also worked with Nike women’s run campaign .

Her phenomenal artistry recently earned her a deal with @WANDALE Photo. The clothing brand launched its Fall Winter collection dubbed  “Black Renaissance”.
