3 things you can do to have healthy sperm today

Sperm quality has been declining for quite a while. And it’s affecting black men more than any other race!

There’s no great explanation for why Black men’s sperm health is declining rapidly. But there are heaps of hypothetical reasons. Many originate from being in close proximity to hazardous waste and power plants by virtue of geography and economic situations. However, there is evidence that shows certain lifestyles are also a contributing factor to the decline in sperm.

If you’re wondering why your sperm’s quality is declining, then these could possibly be the reasons why:

Tainted Water

Water contaminated with cadmium and lead can lead to the decline in sperm quality.

Polluted Air

Heavy-metal pollutants, such as mercury from factory plants, and the smoke from coal pots are also contributors.

Processed foods

People eat more processed and packaged foods nowadays. This means more sperm-tanking EDCs. High rates of obesity and diabetes also raise the risk of less healthy sperm.

What Men Can Do to Have Healthy Sperm

Stay cool
Sperm production may drop when your balls are subjected to heat. Avoid hot environments and wear clothes that keep you cool.

Eat fish
Omega-3 fatty acids, found in high amounts in tuna and salmon, can increase sperm health. Filling up on antioxidants, including vitamin C, vitamin E, and selenium, can also boost sperm production.

Exercise
You can never go wrong with a workout. Stay fit and healthy with exercises such as jogging, cardio or even swimming. These exercises boost your testosterone production which in turn produce healthier sperm.

Sleep.
Prioritize sleep. A good 7-8 hours of sleep will do wonders for not only your mental health but also your entire body as a whole. A good night’s sleep is enough to keep your sperm healthy and ready to swim.
