Ghanaian swimmer Abeiku Jackson has just won the Men’s Butterfly Heat at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. In 53.39 seconds!
The 21 year old bested Sajan Prakash from India (53.45 seconds) and Moon Seungwoo from South Korea (53.59 seconds).
He is no stranger to the sport world stage having competed for Ghana in the summer Olympics in Rio 2016 and World Championships in 2019.
Ghanaian born and bred, Abeiku Jackson attended his elementary and junior secondary school at the Roman Ridge school. He holds Ghanaian national records in more than 10 disciplines and they include breaststroke, butterfly, freestyle and backstroke events over distances from 50 to 400 metres
