Award-winning makeup artist, Valerie Lawson, joins the London College of Fashion as an associate lecturer of beauty.

CVL Beauty founder and multiple award-winning makeup artist/ beauty strategist, Valerie Lawson has just announced her new role as an associate lecturer of beauty at the prestigious London College of Fashion

Lawson, who is celebrated for her many accolades in the beauty industry and her consistency shared the exciting news via her Instagram and Linkedin accounts on Wednesday afternoon which was met with a slew of congratulatory and goodwill messages from the likes of Bozoma Saint John and other industry stalwarts.

“I am beyond thrilled to announce that I have officially joined @lcflondon_ @lcf_hmuf as an associate lecturer of beauty,” she said

The beauty guru who began her adventure in the beauty industry in 2010 while in Business School (UGBS) will also ‘focus on inclusivity and diversity in knowledge and applied skills’, a portion of the statement read.

UAL describe her on their website as an educator and beauty marketing powerhouse who merges raw talent, business skill, professionalism and integrity to push the boundaries of the beauty landscape.

According to the University, the course is a 10-week hands-on makeup course taught through a combination of lectures and exercises and will begin in January of 2023 at their campus in London, Lime Grove – W12.

My role at London College of Fashion ( LCF ) goes beyond beauty and makeup education theories and focuses on inclusivity and diversity in knowledge and applied skills.

I am extremely passionate about teaching, and I am excited to offer my knowledge and experiences from the continent to help prepare and impact these talented students for their fashion and beauty careers.

Over the next few months, you will see many changes and additions to the Valerie Lawson Brand and I am thrilled to share it all with you. Growth can be scary, but it is time.

I have particularly enjoyed playing my part and roles with Valerie Lawson Services and ( CVL BEAUTY), where I still remain as CEO, focusing on innovating the African beauty education system, creating beauty tools and accessories, closing the skills gap, and developing and guiding beauty talents.

I am excited 😊 and look forward to this new chapter and journey🤍
