Black Panther’s Danai Guirira was also an Afrocentric Queen in a Christie Brown piece for the Lagos Premiere

Danai Guirira from Marvel’s Black Panther was spot on with her Red Carpet look for the Lagos Premiere of the show.

Evoking her inner warrior/African queen, she opted for an iconic golden bustier and ruffled midi pencil skirt from haute readuy to wear Ghanaian brand, Christie Brown; calling the look “whimsical, modern and rooted in the continent all at once.”

Guirira who plays Okoye in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever engaged the services of expert Gele stylist, @taiwos_touch to create her flamboyant white scarf to match the look.

For her Makeup, the American-Zimbabwean actress said it was inspired by Afropunk Aesthetics. In a post on her Instagram she wrote:

Hello, Nigeria! Elated to bring #WakandaForever to the motherland. For tonight’s look @makeupbytym was inspired by Afropunk aesthetics. (And special thanks to @taiwos_touch for the killer job on the gele!) @MacCosmetics
