It is obvious that twice as tall means you get noticed twice as much.

Last year, BurnaBoy was on former President Obama’s top songs for 2020 playlist alongside other great artists like Wizkid and Shatta Wale.

And just a month into the new year 2021,he has chalked another achievement. Burna Boy’s song, Destiny, from the Twice as Tall Album is on the official playlist for Biden and Kamala Harris’ inauguration.

On the playlist, titled Biden+Harris Inauguration, BurnaBoy made an appearance alongside other seasoned artistes like SZA, Kendrick Lamar and Dua Lipa.

He is the only African on the playlist.

The playlist was curated by Issa Rae and Benoni Tagoe’s music label, Raedio with DJ D-Nice in partnership with the inaugural committee. It features artists from a very broad scope in honor of Joe Biden taking the oath of office to become the 46th President of the United States of America.

The playlist is the Presidential Inaugural Committee’s attempt to give Americans a chance to take part in the Inauguration. Especially since the COVID-19 social distancing protocols have forced them to cut back on traditional occasions like the Parade.

The Inaugural team explained that “music has been a consistent vehicle that has kept us connected” during this pandemic. And that was their motivation to create the playlist.

The playlist is available on Apple Music, Amazon Music, Spotify and Tidal. On top, there is a special mix of the playlist on Soundcloud.
