Celebrities stun at the GUBA awards 2021

Glitz, glamour and empowerment came on display at the just ended GUBA Awards 2021. The Grow, Build and Unite Africa Awards event took place on the 8th of November at the Accra International Conference Center.

The start-studded event was graced by dignitaries, high-rollers and celebrities. The award scheme was championed by Lady Dentaa Amoabeng who is a general consultant, media personality and nurse. The theme for this edition was the celebration of courage and resilience of Nana Yaa Asantewaa. Nana Yaa Asantewaa was a 19th century Queen-Mother of Ejisu, Ashanti Empire who rose to prominence by leading an army of 5000 men against the British who covetted the Royal Golden Stool. Her legacy is one of strength and the embodiment of womanhood. It was only fitting that this edition would pay tribute to her legend.

In vogue of this, the dress-code was a splash of traditional Akan wear while some embellished with contemporary Ghanaian outfits. Kente and custom were the patterns lavished on display.
