You can now pick a four-coach train ride from the Odawna train station in Accra for the cost of GH¢5 and GH¢7 for the first class! If you were skeptical like we were, Travel Influencer Akosua Shirley gave us a first look into the newly revived Accra-Tema train.
Oh, we’re definitely taking a ride on that express.
In an interview carried out by the Ghanaian Times, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) Ghana Railways Company Limited (GRCL), Mr Randy Mould, assured that the operations which started on Monday would promote the safe and secure transportation of goods and passengers to and from Tema.
Mr Mould added that there are far-advanced to revive the Accra-Nsawam rail lines to restore service and to augment the fleet.
Locations that would see the train make stops and pick ups include Community 1, Tema, Asoprochona, Batchona, Achimota, Odaw and finally Accra Central.
