For the first time in Volta Region history, Keta SHTS was the sole school to qualify for the final stage of the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ).

The first female to compete in the National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) Finals in the last eight years was a wonderful young lady, Francisca Lamini who represented Keta SHTS (Ketasco) in the 2021 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) held in Kumasi.

Francisca Lamini has emerged as the lady of the moment after teaming up with two Ketasco boys to lead the school to the NSMQ Finals as well as being the only lady competing and representing her school. During the competition, she was awarded GHS 5000 for being the best female contestant.

For her outstanding performance in the 2021 NSMQ, she has gotten praise from well-known Ghanaians such as Oheneyere Gifty Anti, Professor Jame Naana Agyeman as well as numerous tweets commending her for the great job done with some even pushing for her to be given a scholarship to continue her studies.
This feat is even more astounding considering the fact they the first time an all-girls school competed in the final was 14 years ago, when Wesley Girls High School faced off against Mfantsipim School in the 1999 final.
Her story has been one that emphatically pushes the narrative of girl power in hope that many more will follow behind her.
