“I know you’ve not heard it yet and can’t say same but Yo! Far Away will get you to that point! Damn!!! Thursday Midnight ? My Diary Drops ?,” Gyakie wrote on her Twitter page while unveiling the tracklist for her new EP My Diary.
In a private late night event in Accra, Ghana on Thursday (July 21) Gyakie released her much-anticipated sophomore project My Diary.

The tracklist for My Diary features Nigerian afrobeat superstar Davido with the single called Flames.
This EP follows Gyakie’s 2021 5 solo-track EP Seed.
Gyakie has been having quite the fruitful year on the world stage, methinks. Just last week the Songbird performed live in Germany alongside international African act Diamond Platinumz.
And then topped it off with a banger of a show at the Ghana Party in the Park Concert in London, England.
At the private listening party/release of My Diary EP, young Ghanaian social media influencers such as Asiedu Mends, Jackline Mensah and Asantewaa represented to support the launch.
My Diary registers Gyakie’s mellow jazz and soul sound with an infusion on R&B and Afropop. There’s a bit of Reggae influences in the song Waka Waka which is unassuming yet refreshing.
We’re already bobbing to Gyakie’s My Diary. Flames is definitely a song to cue at the top of your playlist for the weekend.
