Fashion model Hamamat Montia showed off and out at New York Fashion Week (NYFW) with her pregnant belly yesterday (August 11).
The former beauty queen and mother of two strutted on NYFW runway for Afrocentric fashion brand, Studio 189. Dolled up in a textile crop top with matching long skirt, Hamamat was a vision of obsidian beauty at Studio 189’s Spring Summer 2023 collection.
She shared a photo of her from Studio 189 Spring Summer 2023 show on her with the caption;
“From the Village to Vogue. What an honor to close this beautiful runway @nyfw for @studiooneeightynine I love the story behind it all and so happy to support. Your love for the culture shines beautifully through your spirits @abrimaerwiah & @rosariodawson – I am so proud of all you are doing for the motherland and happy to support it.”

She also added a quote about the beauty of pregnancy and reveling in the spiritual and mental transitions of this rite of womanhood.
“To be pregnant is to be vitally alive, thoroughly woman, and distressingly inhabited. Soul and spirit are stretched — along with body — making pregnancy a time of transition, growth, and profound beginnings.
To all pregnant women : being pregnant is an honor no matter how difficult it may seem to love the new body, skin and feelings you have. Allow your body to naturally prepare for the new life ahead – let No amount of hyperpigmentation, stretch marks or fat keep you from shinning bright,” she added.
