The Ghana Atomic Energy Commission Basketball Court just got a colourful facelift courtesy of world-renowned cognac-makers Hennessy and liquor distributors Imexco Drinks Ghana Limited.
The revamp of the basketball court was a collaborative effort between Hennessy and its Ghanaian distributors Imexco Drinks as part of the Accra edition of their “In the Paint” initiative. The basketball court got a major paint work from prolific mural artist Nicholas Tettey Wayo, a rim job as well as installed bleachers for spectators.
Hosted by EMCEE BlissKingg, the opening of the new-improved Ghana Atomic Basketball Court had in basketball lovers and popular Ghanaian and international sommeliers. Market Manager for Western Africa at Moët Hennessy Bakary Yeo, socialite Afua Rida, model Gabrielle Nokoe and and MD of Front/Back Accra Kojo Bordovic were high-profile guests at the official opening.
The revamp of the Ghana Atomic Basketball Court is now fully complete and the facility is open to local residents. It is already proving popular with up and coming youth basketball players.
The court, which has been transformed with a new all-weather sports surface painting, also got a its own fencing.
