Jay-Z joins Instagram and instantly gains over a 1M followers

Jay-Z is one icon who has been very on the fence when it comes to social media. Today, however, the rapper and mogul launched an Instagram account and immediately gained over 1 million followers!

Jay-Z has been striding the minimalist line for as long as many as can remember and of course his new Instagram illustrates that too. His first post was a single photo, which is the poster art for the new Netflix film “The Harder They Fall,” and an IG Story, featuring a countdown for the Black Western’s premiere on the streaming service.

No surprise, seeing as he is an executive producer to the film which stars Jonathan Majors, Idris Elba and Regina King. Jay-Z also curated the film’s soundtrack with music by him.

Naturally, Jay-Z is only following one person on Instagram: His equally famous wife, Beyoncé.

Talk about keeping it in the family.
