#JayNa20: Jesse couldn’t take his eyes off Nancy at their friend’s wedding and now he gets the chance to look at her forever

When Jesse met Nancy an old high school acquaintance at a friend’s wedding in 2017, it was definitely going to lead to something meaningful.

Fast forward to July, 2020, the two are officially Mr and Mrs after tying the knot traditionally in the company of selected family and friends due to COVID-19 restrictions.

The pair who have known each other for 12 years didn’t start dating seriously until 2017. Jesse confirmed their love story when pre-wedding images were shared days to their nuptials.

How they met according to Jesse:

I met Nancy in high school in 2008 and we became very good friends. After high school, we both went our separate ways yet we remained friends.

Fast forward for 2017 I met her at a mutual friend’s wedding, I just couldn’t take my eyes off her.

It was like meeting her for the first time. I heart skipped multi beats and I knew she was the one.

He proposed to her in January on her birthday and the journey to forever begun. Once again, they proved their love was strong when they still forged ahead to plan a wedding during the quarantine and stay home period.

WE RECONNECTED BUT THIS TIME AROUND DATED AND ON THAT FATEFUL DAY, 31ST JAN 2020, HER BIRTHDAY, I PROPOSED TO HER. I THANK GOD I FOUND YOU NANCY, THE LOVE OF MY LIFE. I PRAY FOR A FRUITFUL MARRIAGE TODAY AND FOREVER WITH LOTS OF CHILDREN.

Traditional Wedding

The beautiful and intimate traditional wedding was a splash of Ghanaian culture, colour and life. As always with the bride, Nancy was the special belle of the ball in a stunning cold sleeve corset dress and slit.

The kente dress was made by Ghanaian designer, Saadia Sanusi with glam bridal makeup by Cuties Bridal.

We also couldn’t help but notice how evergreen the bridemaids looked in their very elaborate dresses.

Groom and Groomsmen Outfits

Jesse was also the knight in shining amour in a green Kaftan with Kente embellishment. His groomsmen supported him in burnt orange kaftans as they danced the day away.

Congratulations Jesse and Nancy as your “forever begins today”.
