Lupita Nyong’o serves major noire style in a Duaba Serwa number for the 2022 Wearable Art Gala

Award-winning Hollywood actress Lupita Nyong’o is a Nubian beauty that always takes the spotlight with her head-turning looks. And for the 2022 Wearable Art Gala Awards, the superstar did just that in a gorgeous black pleated Duaba Serwa gown.

The Black Panther actress flaunted her svelte figure in a gorgeous signature noire dress by Duaba Serwaa. The dress featured a one-shoulder sleeve, a triangle-pleated straight-cut skirt with lined corset detail. The beauty paired the look with statement tear drop diamond earrings.

Not only did she ooze elegance (as always), but Lupita also turned heads with her soft glam makeup featuring midnight blue eyeshadow, lightly touched cheekbones and a matte voilet lip complemented with a classy coiffed updo.

Duaba Serwa is a Ghanaian fashion house famous for their intricate designs and haute tapered gowns. Founded in 2011 by creative director Nelly Hagan Deegbe, Duaba Serwa’s use of organdy, batik and colourful pleats in their garments are an exploration of textures, hues and impeccable detail. Their latest season is a delightful offering of colours, exaggerated sleeves and animal prints.

It is refreshing to see Black Hollywood collaborating with African designers and we’re are a 100% here for it.
