Chief Executive Officer of Hollard Ghana Patience Akyianu is Africa’s Female Business Leader of Year at the just-ended 6th Invest in Africa Summit 2021.
Organized by the distinguished African Leadership Magazine, this conclave of continental business leaders and entrepreneurs was a virtual one. This year’s theme was Redefining Growth, Sustainability and Innovation.
The African Business Leadership Awards celebrates figures in commerce whose contribution does not only impact economies but lead in socio-development.
The nomination selection process is a three-tiered one: initial nomination, subsequent voting and a final screening by the African Leadership Magazine’s editorial team.
Patience Akyianu’s leadership and excellent managerial skills cultivated from years in banking were awarded. A former manager of Barclays Bank Ghana (now Absa Bank), Patience Akyianu’s distinction at Hollard Ghana has made the company one of the topmost insurance companies in the region.
She had this to say during her acceptance speech. “…It is clear to me that, I could not have emerged the winner of this prestigious award without the help and support of my family, friends, my church communities, colleagues at Hollard Ghana, and the various networks I’m part of.”
