2021 brought many ups and downs and some pitfalls. However, if there was anything that stayed consistently haute and hot, it was fashion. We are talking sequin gowns, delicate hems and bejeweled blouses.
We shortlisted our top best dressed female celebrities of 2021. Some of these celebrities influenced fashion trends and some even started them. Their Instagram feeds are almost literally a magazine editorial spread. We fell in love with their fashion aesthetic and had to share.

Whether it is funky hair colours and styles or even sporting a latex dress, Nana Ama McBrown pulls no punches with her style. We rate her with the ranking of legendary.

The ever-radiant Lydia Forson gave us a whirlwind of looks this year. Versatile as with her acting, Lydia gave us varying looks from afro soul-sista to nubian Queen with the locks on key. Lydia slays in at Number. 2

Every weekday morning Berla gives us life on TV3’s This Morning show. Be it Instagram or a public showcase Miss Berla Mundi knows how to serve fashion royalty.

A good personality is an impression. A great sense of fashion is an expression. Cookie T has that in ample portions. TV personality Cookie knows how to deliver on elegant African-inspired outfits. If you want a style look-on for New Year’s then you know who’s page you need to be visiting.

Serwaa Amihere brings poise to every single outfit she outdoors. Always the vision perfect vision with form-fitting outfits, we could not even dream of this list without her.
7. Jackie Appiah
Can we talk about the variety that Jackie Appiah has brought us this year? It’s back to back iconic posts. From casual to formal, Jackie has proven that firstly, colour is your friend. Secondly, it’s not about what you wear but rather about how you wear it.
8. Salma Mumin
The actress has brought us nothing but refreshing and iconic posts all through the year. No surprise considering Salma moonlignts as the designer for @lurebysalma. Her fashion sense is usually comfortable and well-fitting one and two piece gowns that accentuate the female form. We cannot get enough of her.
9. Mona Montrage
AKA Hajia4real makes an honorary entry into our list. The Afropop songstress delivered this year with icon-class outfits in all her music videos. Her Instagram feed is like a fashion spread from Variety; back to back concepts and fashion. We love a woman about her style.
10. Deborah Vanessa (Sister Derby)
The African Mermaid glides into our list of best dressed female celebrities of 2021 to no surprise. Sister Derby is the girl-next-door with colourful bubblegum fashion style. Whether casuals or a night out on the town, Sister Derby’s year in fashion review is nothing short of fierce. Our favourites are her travel photos early on in the year. Each photograph and outfit drips nothing but finesse.
11. Nadia Buari
Pretty simple OOTDs is the religion with Nadia. We place her at Number 2 for all the right reasons.
