We are swooning over award-winning Ghanaian photographer Gilbert Asante’s body of work especially his fashion editorial which has been popping on our feeds lately.
Asante, at the age of 19, started his creative journey with visits to Japanese art centres as a young student. A singular event he says became a source of inspiration for his creative drive.
His return to his motherland of Ghana saw him horning his crafts in web & graphic designing to jumpstart a career in the creative field. 6 years into this journey, he transitioned into the glossy and glamorous fashion industry as a fashion photographer ling high-end clientele and working with almost every creative in the industry.

He is the two-time winner of the Glitz Africa Style Awards and shot several of their Magazine covers. He also shot for Canoe Magazine, EMY Magazine among many others.
