These Ghana Twitter comments on the 2022 BECE will make your day

Best wishes and success to all 2022 Basic Education Certificate Exam (BECE) candidates. This is perhaps one of the most memorable moments for many Ghanaian highschoolers; the exam that transitions them from Junior to Senior High school.

The well-wishes seem to be pouring in all the more. Even from beyond Ghana’s shores.

Today (October 17), 552,276 candidates sit the for the BECE exam. The examinations will take place at 2,038 centres across the country.

A total of 552,276 candidates from 18,501 schools will be sitting for the examinations. This is 3.48 per cent less than the 2021 entry figure of 572,167.

The number comprises 276,988 males and 275,288 females.

Unlike the previous years, when school candidates wrote the examination ahead of private candidates, this year’s BECE will be written simultaneously by both public school and private school candidates.

Many high-profile persons shared their wishes and tips on how to score better.

It would seem its not only the candidates feeling the BECE fever.

While social media is awash with well-wishes for the candidates, some Ghana Tweeps took to Twitter to share some of their fondest memories and commentary on the 2022 BECE.
