The Internet has been swooning over the exquisite two-in-one dress made by Nigerian bridal fashion house Hajjewels House of Style. The ‘transformer’ dress is made for both ceremony and reception.
Mrs Hajarah Jibril-Salaudeen, shared that the gown was designed for a specific bride and also what her inspiration behind the design of the dress was. “I wanted to create something different from the norm and to portray that it’s totally possible and cool to rock a transformer dress for your wedding.”
The inner fabric of the gown was made from a luxury panel fabric and the exterior was made from organdy for a light and crisp silhoutte. The materials of the bespoke dress include crinoline mesh, tulle net, Korean duchess silk, plastic boning, luxury appliqués, clawed stones and beads.Â
The Nigerian designer added that it took 14 people, including her, to get the dress done in record time “And it took 52 hours in total of working nonstop, she said. “I’m still overwhelmed with the reaction! It’s been awesome. Almost everyone in the social media space loves and appreciates the creativity. All thanks to Allah.”
