Fenty Beauty and Skin officially launched in Africa over the past week. Just two weeks ago beauty-mogul and music billionaire Rihanna teased the launch of her brand into the African beauty space via a Twitter post.
Fenty Beauty and Skin launched in Zimbabwe, South Africa, Namibia, Zambia, Botswana, Kenya, Nigeria and Ghana. The full list of official retail partner shops for the continent was released on Twitter.
Fenty Beauty’s global makeup artist Hector Espinal, was a special guest at the South African launch which happened in Sandton, Johannesburg.
Nigeria’s launch pulled in who is who in beauty, style and entertainment in Lagos on the 26th of May.
Spotted at the event were celebrities and socialites; Idia Aisien, Annie Idibia, Alex Unusual, Mercy Eke, Tania Omotayo, Denrele Edun, Tacha, Saskay and many more.
Although, official influencers for the brand have yet to be fingered, Nigeria’s Fenty Beauty activation was a very glitzy and star-studded affair. No surprise there.
In Kenya, model and influencer Nikita Kering has been listed to lead Fenty Beauty and Skin’s campaign in their region.

Now for the elephant in the room. Whilst every country seems to have had their Fenty Beauty launch, Ghana remains the odd one out. There are yet to be reports of any Ghanaian Fenty Beauty brand ambassador let alone any word of an official launch. Ghana Twitter netizens are just as nonplussed.
The closest we got to answering this puzzle is this Twitter post by Ghanaian makeup artist @Riini4Prez.
We honestly hope that’s NOT the official launch for the Fenty Beauty and Skin brand in Ghana. We need a whole party with signature looks and serves a la Fenty style.
We’ll definitely be keeping our eyes peeled for any proper updates.
