Chart-topping greats Usher, H.E.R, Stormy and SZA are among the coterie of artists scheduled to perform at the Black Star Square in Accra, Ghana this September 24. The stage? The 2022 edition of the Global Citizen Festival.

The Global Citizen Festival marks its tenth anniversary this year with stages in town iconic locations: Black Star Square in Accra, Ghana and New York City’s Central Park on Saturday, Sept. 24.
This year, dozens of artists are joining the global campaign to empower girls, close the climate finance gap, alleviate the global food crisis and relieve world crushing debts now.
The Global Citizen Festival is a celebration of music and social change that brings together artists, activists, world leaders, and Global Citizens to demand urgent change on the world’s biggest issues. The Global Citizen Festival stage provides a platform for world leaders, business leaders, and philanthropists to make commitments in the mission to end extreme poverty and drive real, lasting change.
Ghanaian acts Gyakie, Stonebwoy and Sarkodie are also slated to perform at this year’s Global Citizen Festival in Accra, Ghana.

Global Citizen is on a mission to continue to grow our pan-African movement, and Global Citizen Festival: Accra builds upon past festivals staged in South Africa and Nigeria.
This year, the festival hopes to raise $600 million into the future of women and girls, close the annual $10 billion climate financing shortfall, deliver $500 million to help African farmers respond to the global food crisis, and provide urgent relief from crushing debts to End Extreme Poverty NOW.
