Vee Kee James stuns with her first Ghanaian bridal kente of 2025—and the internet can’t handle it

When  Nigerian designer, Vee Kee James announced her first Ghanaian bride of 2025, the internet collectively gasped—and for good reason.

She has designed yet a timeless kente look that has sent shockwaves through the fashion and bridal worlds.

Her muse, Penny Pok, the stunning tech-savvy CEO and creator of Hush Body graced her traditional wedding in this breathtaking kente design. This wasn’t just any bridal look—it was a masterclass in merging heritage with haute couture.

Vee Kee James, renowned for her intricate and feminine designs, worked her magic on this iconic kente ensemble, creating a masterpiece that paid homage to Ghanaian culture while elevating bridal fashion to new heights.

The internet was quick to react, with fans and fashion enthusiasts flooding social media to rate the look and the verdict has been unanimous; a 10/10

The couple, affectionately whose wedding hashtag is #TheBaffs, spared no detail in curating their big day. From the elegant coordination by Xceedmac to the event styling by Whitechalk Global, every element was carefully thought of.

The glam squad included makeup artist Chelseablaq_, hairstylist Adefunkeee, and photographer Focus and Blur, who captured the essence of the day in jaw-dropping images. Videography teams FNB Films and Iris Films ATL ensured every magical moment was immortalized.

Guests were treated to an unforgettable culinary experience with traditional catering by Casa GH and dinner by Chef Clemzy. The cocktail game was elevated by Cocktail 360, and the jaw-dropping cake by Hayz Magik Oven was the cherry on top.

The wedding ceremony wasn’t just a union of two souls—it was a celebration of Ghanaian culture. The Kumasi Evangel Choir and Musicologists GH provided soul-stirring performances, while cultural group Let’s Wrap It brought traditional flair to the festivities.

The dowry presentation, meticulously wrapped by Auraa Gifts and carried by Gyayz Ushering, was another highlight of the day, blending heritage and artistry seamlessly.

Penny and her groom, Mr Addo didn’t just throw a wedding—they made a statement. From the fashion to the entertainment, every detail reflected their unique love story and their respect for tradition.

As the first Ghanaian bride of 2025 to don a Vee Kee James creation, Penny has set the tone for the year, and we can’t wait to see what’s next in the world of bridal fashion.
