Wakanda Forever: Ghanaian sunglasses brand, Bôhten to design Capsule Collection for the Black Panther sequel

Ghanaian sustainable eyewear brand, Bôhten has been picked to design a new collection in honour of the new Marvel Studios project, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

The collaboration will feature trunk show events, sunglasses and movie-themed prize pack contest*, and a sunglasses capsule collection limited to 1000 pieces to promote the upcoming movie release in theatres on November 11th. 

Based in Canada, the Ghanaian-owned eyeglasses brand announced the exciting collaboration ahead of its November release in October 2022. It is also the first eyewear brand in Canada to collaborate on a movie from Marvel Studios.

The promotional campaign will officially launch on October 21st with a contest. Fans may enter the contest by submitting a completed online entry form available at Bohten.com (no purchase necessary). Fifteen winners will be announced on November 30th, 2022. Prizes consist of the following: 

GRAND PRIZE (5 winners): $1,000 worth of Bôhten merchandise and a movie-themed prize pack. Exact items included in the prize pack shall be determined by Bôhten in its sole discretion. 

FIRST PRIZE (5 winners): $600 worth of Bôhten merchandise and a movie-themed prize pack. Exact items included in the prize pack shall be determined by Bôhten in its sole discretion. 

SECOND PRIZE (5 winners): $200 worth of Bôhten merchandise and a movie-themed prize pack. Exact items included in the prize pack shall be determined by Bôhten in its sole discretion. 

Bôhten will host two trunk show events in Canada at Nordstrom’s Yorkdale and Eaton Centre outlets from November 4th to 6th and November 18th to 20th, respectively. The trunk shows will showcase Bôhten’s latest glasses collection, which is handmade in Italy and optimized to fit and compliment African faces better. In addition, patrons will have the chance to see the limited edition movie inspired capsule collection for the first time. The collection will feature never-before-seen designs in colorways themed to Marvel Studios’ Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. 

The company is also teaming up with some of Canada’s top fashion designers, musicians, and creators to unveil the limited edition collection and drum up buzz for the new movie releasing in theatres on November 11th, 2022.

The new movie features a list of Hollywood stars including Angela Bassett, Letitia Wright, Winston Duke, Danai Gurira) and Lupita Nyong’o.
