It’s not everyday you chance on such creative and exciting videos of one of Ghana’s most popular tourist cities, Cape Coast and Elmina.

So imagine the excitement when we bumped into Ghanaian photographer and filmmaker, Elliot Grandbery’s latest video of Cape Coast and some parts of Elmina.

Cape Coast was founded by the people of Oguaa. It is one of the most historical cities in Ghana. The crab is the city’s mascot and a statue of one stands in the city centre. It is believed that Michelle Obama , US First Lady, considers Cape Coast as her ancestral home, and on 11 July 2009, she took the rest of the first family to tour Cape Coast Castle as part of her husband’s trip to Cape Coast. It is home to the Kakum National Park, Cape Coast Castle and a number of historical antiquities.

The city also boasts some of Ghana’s finest secondary and technical schools including Holy Child School, Mfantsipim, Adisadel College, St.Augustines College, Wesley Girls High School.

Grandberry wrote: “I spent 48 hours in Cape Coast shooting for a client. These are rejected footages from the project .. I would really love to do Cape Coast again from a tourists perspective… kindly do connect me to anyone who has access to some of the dope places and facilities in Cape Coast and Elmina let’s help promote GH 🇬🇭.”
