It’s still Ghana month and the ideals of freedom and justice are still very much rife in the minds of Ghanaians. Today, however, this is not about the ideal but rather the man. We are talking about none other than Ghanaian business mogul and avant-garde fashion icon Nana Kwame Bediako AKA Freedom Jacob Caeser.

Nana Kwame Bediako is the founder and chief executive officer of the Kwarleyz Group, encapsulating brands such as Wonda World Estates and Petronia City development. His edifice Number One, Osu Oxford Street has fast become an iconic Ghanaian landmark.

And now the multi-millionaire and fashion extraordinaire is veering from building blocks to a different kind of block; crypto currency. Bediako teased social media with a snippet and the hashtag #freedomcoin on his Twitter feed.
Since then, the hashtag has grown viral to positive, negative and downright hilarious reviews.
In an interesting development, the Bank of Ghana released a communique addressing the public to take caution with regards to Bediako’s yet-to-be-launched cryptocurrency.
Bediako rebutted subtly with a tongue-in-cheek tweet.
Some folks remain skeptical about Freedom Coin.
Suffice to say, a lot of Ghanaians are eager to see how far #freedomcoin goes.
