Here’s everything you need to know about World AIDS Day.

World AIDS day is celebrated every year on December 1st. Its global symbol is the red ribbon.

This celebration is an opportunity to unite in the fight against AIDS, to show support for people living with AIDS and remember those who lost to it.

The theme this year is END INEQUALITIES. END AIDS. END PANDEMIC.

World AIDS concept was approved in 1988 when two officers took the idea to the director of the Global program on AIDS.

We show solidarity by wearing the red ribbon on this day.
