Every day is a good day to celebrate Ghana because it is the land of our birth even though the systems can be frustrating.

It’s all we’ve got and we should work hard to make it better.

1. Ghana has some of the best dishes in the world

Aside being one of the tastiest, mouth-watering dishes in the world, Ghanaian foods are also very healthy. A regular in-take of these delicious cuisine will prolong your life. Ghanaian foods like Jollof, Waakye, Banku and Fufu are unrivaled. If you’re ever around a Ghanaian or in Ghana bless your soul with our menu.

2. We are the inventors of KENTE. We took kente to the world

The beautiful fabric kente finds it origin in Bonwire in the Ashanti region of Ghana. The rich and regal fabric is testament of Ghanaian ingenuity and creativity. It is worn during special occasions and used also by people in the diaspora as a symbol of pride and strength. Cop your kente as soon as possible.

3. Ghanaian women are beautiful

Ghanaian women if not the most beautiful belong to the top 5 countries with the most beautiful women on the earth. Every woman from Ghana is beautiful and that’s not an exaggeration. Be it ebony black, caramel, light skin or tan, every shade of Ghanaian women is beautiful. We love you girls.

4. Ghana is the land of Gold, and our culture is royalty.

Formerly known as the Gold Coast, Ghana’s earth is rich with gold and other natural minerals. The gold in Ghana’s flag represent this fact. Europeans who first visited Ghana in the 14th century could not believe that a land like ours existed hence the nickname Gold Coast and El mina which means the mine in Portuguese. Ghana is also rich in culture with several tribes living side by side without conflict.

5. Ghana is a beautiful and peaceful country with hospitable people. ‘Freedom and justice’ is our motto

Ghana is not a village first and foremost. Also, the country is developing with world-class building springing forth daily.It was also listed as one of the places to visit in 2019 by CNN Travel. Ghana is also known as the gateway of West Africa due to the lovely and hospitable nature of its people.

6. Ghanaian men are handsome (And apparently they don’t cheat)

They’re handsome, generous, loving, hardworking and they don’t cheat. Why don’t you have a Ghanaian man after reading all this ??

7. Ghana was the first nation in Sub-Saharan Africa to gain independence

On March 6, 1957, Ghana made history when it became the first country in Africa to attain independence. Despite a few coup d’etats, Ghana is relatively stable and a great place to invest.

The next time you enjoy a bar of chocolate or a cup of the sweet tasting beverage made from cocoa, remember it was grown right her in Ghana. Ghana is Cocoa and Cocoa is Ghana.

11. Ghana is the home country of Kofi Annan, the Black Stars and several changemakers in the world.

The late U.N Secretary-General, Busumuru Kofi Annan was from Ghana. One of the world’s favourite football team, the Black Stars is the national team of Ghana. Sarkodie, Kweis Arthur, Efua Sutherland, Ama Ata-Aidoo, David Adjaye, Oswald Boateng, Edward Enniful, Boris Cudjoe, Idris Alba, Amma Asante, Captain Solomon Quainoo, Dr. Sam Jonah, Stormzy are all Ghanaian citizens or of Ghanaian descent.
