Election Petition: 5 Workwear looks EC boss, Jean Mensah has rocked to court that has caught our eyes

If you are paying attention to politics in Ghana and the ensuing petition currently before the Supreme Court, you’ll find that a style star has been born in Madam Jean Mensah.

@redgingerforhair

Hopefully, this article doesn’t put us in contempt of the honourable court or get the petitioners dragging us in their litigation. But the Electoral ‘Swagmissioner’ oops sorry Electoral Commissioner of Ghana, Mrs Jean Adukwei Mensah is giving us a lot of evidence outside the witness box into her taste in fashion and style.

Mrs Mensah is a lawyer by profession and leader in policy research and advocacy prior to her role as EC Chair after her predecessor, an equally charming, elegant and eloquent woman, Charlotte Osei was removed from office.

In the past few weeks, the woman who has been at the centre of controversy over election figures and litigations a.k.a 1st Respondent has been attending court proceedings dressed to the teeth in the company of military personnel (the military personnel escort has not sat well with several quarters inn society especially the petitioners)

At the time of piecing this article, an image of Mrs Mensah wearing a silver and red brocade pantsuit and conversing with a woman holding a sanitizer had been shared on the page of Minister of Information-Designate, Hon Kojo Oppong Nkrumah as part of his daily updates.

But what first caught the eyes of many and became a viral sensation, earning her a coveted spot among the list of stylish Ghanaian women including Dr Joyce Aryee, Mrs Konadu Rawlings, Samira Bawumia, Charlotte Osei etc. was a blue midi dress she wore buttoned in with a white cape blazer and a disposable facemask.

What followed after was a litany of workwear-inspired looks, a catalogue of luxury shoes and two leather bags from Valentino have been consistent in her appearances.

Worthy of mention is her bone straight laid stylishly by East-Legon based friseur and beauty salon, Red Ginger For Hair and very subtle makeup.

And while the petition is still ongoing, we will be watching with keen eyes and gleaning inspiration from her looks and unanimously passing our revered judgment on her style choices.

Court Rise!!!!
