quophiakotuahghana H. E. A. L. I. N. G. H. O. P. E. Breathe, As I take this step into the unknown, I feel more lost than ever. Going through these uncertain times, As our world is clouded with misery, Hopelessness, It is the time to reach within ourselves and reignite our light, In order to fill our faith in our creator. My heart is bleeding and calling for help, My spirit feels broken, by all the souls taken by this pandemic around the world, & As if it was not enough, On top of this craziness, We ought to face racism. I’m tired, I’m hurting, My heart is heavy and I cannot hide this pain anymore, The tears and bruises on my body, Tell their own story, A constant reminder of the darkness lurking in the shadows, Always trying to make me feel less than, My greater self. Once again, My heart is bleeding And my soul feels broken, I am hurting, I am angry, Calling out for help in this despairing world, Yet, In the midst of my sorrows, When all hope is lost, I hear this voice deep down, Coming from the depth of this world. Calling for HOPE. As I am reminded, I execute, Fall on my knees, & Recite a prayer, O my Creator, in you, I found, Hope.
