Do you stand when you drink water? You could be causing your body more harm than good. Here’s why!

It is important that you drink at least 8 glasses of water per day for ideal health according to scientist and doctors.

 
To quench your thirst, there is nothing like water. It plays a vital role in keeping you hydrated, and just so you know, there are a lot of health issues and other associated diseases (and even weight problems) that can be solved if you just consistently keep up with your water intake.

However, the position you’re in while you drink water could be causing you more harm that you think.

Here’s why:

The water that goes in your mouth passes through the system with a straight gush when you drink water standing up, not really touching the organs where it is meant to have the most impact. So instead of taking it’s time so nutrients can be absorbed, it whooshes past all the important organs.

That’s why as soon as you drink cold water standing up, you can feel the coldness of your water in your belly.

 It is recommended that you sit down and drink your water just like you sit down and eat. This way, your body and brain receive all the nutrients it needs from the water and increasing brain and bodily activity.

According to Every Day Health, drinking water whiles sitting also aids in digestion and prevents you from bloating.

So the next time you want to have a glass of water, kindly have a seat.
