African print outfits our celebrities wore to Jigwe Awards

The 2016 edition of Viasat 1’s flagship show,This Morning‘s spoof Award’s event, #JigweAwards16 has taken place at the Mövenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra on Thursday morning.

This year’s edition which is in third year running saw a number of Ghanaian celebrities from entertainment, fashion and beauty industry attend the event and was hosted by Kokui Selormey and DKB.

MzVee, Zynell Zuh, Gloria Sarfo, Akosua Agyepong, Akumaa Mama Zimbi, Rev. Counsellor George Lutterodt, Afia Schwarzenegger, Martha Ankomah and more celebrities attended the event.

DKB, Okyeame Kwame, Berla Mundi, Ameyaw Debrah, Selly Galley, A-Plus and others beat their fellow nominees to take home the awards for their respective categories.

As usual, our favorite part of the show was the red carpet show where the guests had to show their clothes inspired by African prints and other traditional fabrics.

Some understood the concept pretty well and slayed their looks perfectly yet others like Afia Schwarzenneger and Christabel Ekeh didn’t seem to have gotten the memo right and did what they want.

Since we are in a cheerful mode because it’s two days to Christmas we will let them and the worst-dressed at the event go scot-free.

But no to be a party popper, let’s just take you through the best-dressed celebrities list real quick.

Take a look.
