People on the inter-web are impressed by the way and manner of which Miss Nigeria, Nyekachi Douglas conducted herself at the Miss World grand finale.
In a surprise yet inspiring show of good sportsmanship, Nyekachi who was also a finalist was overjoyed with excitement when Miss World boss, Julia Morley announced Toni-Ann Singh from Jamaica as the 69th winner.
As videos and images went out, people couldn’t help but agree that we all need a Miss Nigeria to encourage and believe in us.
Toni-Ann Singh made history on Saturday when she joined a list of black women holding the titles for Miss USA, Miss Teen USA, Miss America, Miss Universe and Miss World.
According to her bio on the official Miss World website, she is a 23-year-old student from St Thomas, Jamaica and plans to pursue a course in medicine.
“Please know that you are worthy and capable of achieving your dreams… you have a PURPOSE.” she tweeted.
