Kevin Hart wants to buy art from this Nigerian artist

Hollywood Comedian and Actor, Kevin Hart is about to change the life of Nigerian hyper-realist artist Eli Waduba in a pretty significant way.

Hart has agreed to buy portraits of himself made by the pencil artist and 3 commissioned works after he saw them on Twitter.

“I see it and I want to purchase it…I also want to support you and your amazing talent by giving you a fee to do a pencil drawing of 3 of my celebrity friends that I can gift it to. DM your info and let’s get to work,” 39-year-old Hart wrote.

According to Kaduna Waduba, he hoped the tweet would find it’s way to Hart despite being such a long shot. In an interview with CNN, he explained; “I hoped he would see it and actually believed he would see it someday but I did not know it would happen so fast.”

The initial tweet has hit over 20k retweets with Harts quoted tweet gathering 100,000 retweets.

“It has been so overwhelming and words cannot describe it. Kevin Hart has always been my favorite comedian.”We have started the process of selling the portraits,” the Cooperative Economics and Management graduate of the Kaduna State Polytechnic said.

The hyper-realist art industry has grown in leaps and bounds across Nigeria after another artist, Oresegun Olumide in 2016, experienced viral success on Facebook. Receiving offers to exhibit them in the U.K and the United States of America.

Hyper-Realist Artists use pencil, charcoal, and oil to create hyper-realist images of their subjects which may confuse the viewer to mistaken it as the real image.
