The African Fashion Fund unveils new board members

Celebrating, advancing, and empowering the fashion talent of African descent, this is the aim and objective of the African Fashion Fund.

As part of plans to position the fund to be pivotal to the growth of the industry, the organization has announced that they’re expanding their board to welcome five new board members who have the requisite skills to nurture more African designers in the global fashion industry and luxury market.

The African Fashion Fund a few weeks back launched a 100 Million Euro Impact Fund For African Creatives in collaboration with the UN ITC’s Ethical Fashion Initiative (EFI) as well as an accelerator program to support emerging fashion brands and designers.

All appointed in May 2019, the list include deputy director of Vogue Italia and head of Vogue Talents Sara Sozzani Maino, fashion business consultant Julie Gilhart, Deputy Chairman of Accademia & Costume Moda Lupo Lanzara, bestselling author, gifted songwriter and radio/television host Michelle Mckinney Hammond and CEO of Paris London New York Events & Publishing Sheikha Hend Faisal Al Qassimi. Ghanaian Investor and Entrepreneur, Roberta Annan is the founder of the African Fashion Fund

Congratulations to all the board members
