Just like the Stylish women of Africa,African men were also not left out of the fashion craze. Male celebrities put their dollar where their mouth was by investing strategically into their wardrobe and general appearance and we applaud for them for that.

From mixing prints to suave suits and streetwear staples that will even make the most ardent streetstyle lovers envious, African men like Ebuka, Davido, Trevor Stuurman, Okyeame Kwame etched their names in the style books of 2018 for life.

Here’s a list of the 2018 most fashionable African men

  1. Ebuka

Nigerian TV Host/ Compère, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu loves to dress and fashion does love him in equal measure. In 2018, this delicious man was the toast of every event from Big Brother Naija eviction shows, to movie premieres, weddings (be careful of he’ll steal the spotlight at your wedding) and what-have-you. It was really a great year for this fine Nigerian specimen and we can’t wait to see the looks he blesses us with in 2019.

2. Trevor Stuurman

Trevor Stuurman is South Africa’s most influential and connected man and we understand why. With a fashion sense like his who would not want to be connected with such a dandy fellow. The young creative who has shot legends including Beyonce, Naomi Campbell and has a collaboration with Nike isn’t stopping anytime soon. We love a stylish creative.

OBO is not your regular ass musician and his fans and haters alike know this for a fact. The musician had a fantastic music year and his fashion was not left behind in the process. From rocking the most expensive suits money can buy to adorning himself in stylish fashion brands, David assured us that he wasn’t a hoax. His style game is unscathed just like his punchlines.

4. John Dumelo

New school artiste, Kidi brought a lot of sugar, thunder and fire (Can you see where we are going with this) into the fashion game in 2018. As we sang and wined to his music, we also couldn’t help but admire his style. If we rating his style for the year, it’ll definitely be an 11/10. Kidi you won our hearts fair and square.

Dear fashion gods, what did we do so well to deserve the ostentatious Gregory Promise Bortey Newman?? His sultry music didn’t do all the magic for him in 2018, his love for prodigious shoes from the Balenciaga label kept him on constantly our lips too. And oh!!! He moisturizes like crazy. Hey boo!!! we see you.

His Instagram is a treasure chest of fashion inspiration even the biggest fashion and style bloggers in Milan and Paris will die to have. Give us more in 2019 Sir!!

9. Peter Mawuli Gavor

Ghana’s very own Peter Mawuli Gavor is not a snack, he’s the whole meal and he knows how to garnish this meal to whet our appetites. 2018 was definitely his year and we can’t fault him, style is in his DNA as a Ghanaian man.

10. Swanky Jerry

He is the stylist to the stars and he himself is a star in his own right. Jeremiah Ogbodo in 2018 gave us the dictionary definition of fashion with every single look he put out there. He set trends and broke a lot of fashion rules. When we grow up, we want to be like him.

11. Brommon

Fashion makes a man and Bespoke tailor, Kweku Boateng Akuoku of Brommon suits lives by this quote through and through. Every year he shows us why he’s acclaimed as Africa’s finest suit maker and this year he took it up the notch with some dapper and eye-popping looks.

Matthew Mensah is in GQ’s list of best dressed men and we think we know why. He rocks his clothes as if it’s his second skin. The Dandy Ghanaian PR & philanthropist is also an influencer for BVLGARI.

14. Noble Igwe

It’s been a good year for our old friend, Noble Igwe despite all the hate that was hurled at him during the Big Brother Nigeria period and his article against musicians who promote cyber fraud. We stan a gallant, brave and stylish writer. His fashion game so much better and his fashion brand, Tribes By Nobs is becoming a favorite among the populace too.

15. Tobi Bakare

Hate him or love him, Tobi Bakare still has style that is admirable. We are glad we came across him this year and we haven’t ceased to be amazed at his fashion. Kudos bro.
