#RODR19: 15 photos you missed from the launch of Rhythms on Da Runway

If pictures say a 1000 words then the images from the launch of the 2019 edition of Music and fashion show, Rhythms On Da Runway tell a bigger story.

It tells a story of how fashion and music fell in love and birthed one of the biggest and most entertaining shows to be hosted on Ghana’s soil.

Over the years Rhythms On Da Runway has redefined entertainment and fashion shows, having been the first event to transform entertainment personalities into models on the runway.

Sarkodie, Kwaw Kese, Reggie Rockstone, Sandra Ankobiah, Bola Ray, D-Black, Funny Face and many more have graced the runway as they paid homage to Ghanaian fashion.

At an event to announce the launch of the event which also coincides with Ghana’s Year of Return, several of Ghana’s celebrated personalities in the public eye and corporate Ghana converged at the 4-star African Regent Hotel in Accra to update themselves with information concerning this year’s event.

Maestro KOD was spotted looking his dandy best even in his casuals as he smiled and meandered through the guests; most of them friends turned family.

Music was offered like cups of iced water from a village pot and soothing it was as Ceccy Twum, Pauline Oduro and the Dark Suburb served to all and sundry.

Ghana’s Rap Doctor, Okyeame Kwame and his eccentric style were present at the event. Sexpert and Broadcaster Akumaa Mama Zimbi’s signature headgear gave her up even in the midst of the stylish gathering. Coded 4×4 with his biceps and charming smile also brought life to the event.

When it was all said and done, it was agreed that August 31st should be the night when Fashion and music brought Accra to its Knees with brief comedic reliefs from DKB and other acts.

The Castle gardens would see designs from Ophelia Crossland, Nineteen57, Velma’s Accessories, Mudi Africa, Palse SA and more come to life with electrifying music performances from Kuami Eugene, Rex Omar, Ceccy Twum, Steve Bedi and David Kwamena Bolton.

Quintessential Broadcasters Nana Aba Anamoah and Nathaniel Attoh were named as the hosts for the big night.
