The golden girls of Nollywood, Rita Dominic, Omotola, Uche Jombo, Ini Edo & Stephanie Linus reunited for Genevive Nnaji’s 40th Birthday

It was a complete reunion over the weekend as the biggest female names in the Nigeria movie industry a.k.a Nollywood joined hands to celebrate one of it’s own, Genevive Nnaj as she celebrated her 40th birthday.

The award-winning actress and director turned 40th earlier this month but her girls including Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, Uche Jombo, Ini Edo & Stephanie Linus alongside other celebrity names decided to celebrate the beauty over the weekend.

Sharing a photo of the squad on Instagram, actress Uche Jombo captioned the post as “a little Girlscot reunion happened over the weekend” which got fans reminiscing on their 2006 hit movie which featured all of them.

The images of the Nollywood queens are breaking the internet as fans continue to comment and share them on their feed.

A very reserved yet poignant force in the movie industry, Genevive Nnaji is celebrated for her roles in movies such as Road To Yesterday,Last PartyMark of the Beast, Sharon Stone, Girls Cot and many more. Oprah Winfrey referred to her as the “Julia Roberts” of Africa in an interview.

Her self produced and directed movie, Lionheart was recently acquired by online streaming service, Netflix for a whooping $3.8million and was premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2018.
