Pistis’ Royalty collection is an ode to the true Ghanaian woman

Based in Ghana’s capital of Accra a.k.a the gateway to West Africa, women inspired fashion house, Pistis is celebrating Gold Coast fashion and inspiring the new Ghanian woman with a new collection.

According to the brand’s website, Pistis is a company that currently stands at the frontline of the fast-growing African fashion industry while making major strides on the international markets.

The Husband and Wife duo who head the brand has received wide acclaim for the dresses they’ve made for dignitaries, celebrities, corporate executives, religious leaders and most importantly, the hardworking everyday woman.

Its new Royalty collection embraces cherished Ghanaian kente fabric to create unique hand beaded bridal gowns and other outfits for special occasions. In the 6-piece collection, the bravery and tenacity of gallant women like Yaa Asantewaa, Fathia Nkrumah, Sussan Alhassan, Theodisa Okoh and the hardworking folk women are referenced in the couplets (two-line poems) that accompany the images.

“We are warriors, We are tenacious
We are confident, Adorned in the finest Kente and jewels from the Gold Coast.
The true queens of our own destiny
We are ROYALTY ”

Our story is a great one
Our pride is endless

War cries and victory chants
Enshrine our nobility

Our dance is graceful
Adorned by the beating of great drums

the stories and folktales
Around fires that have never died
