Everything about this couple’s wedding was inspired by Kente

Most Ghanaian couples love to have a traditional kente wedding then follow it up with a white wedding which can be really expensive but then again it’s not your money.

But others like Mr and Mrs Otoo who are savy and Ghanaian at heart are part of the reason why we love traditional ceremonies so much.

The alternative couple decided to switch things up for their wedding by adopting the popular Kente fabric as their theme and they’ve blown minds away.

For example, instead of the usual classic black suit, the groom, Koby rocked a kente rendition and the beautiful bride, Thelma matched him up in a similar kente gown with a tulle base.

But when everyone thought it was all over, they pulled up this incredibly fantastic Kente cake.

The photo of the kente cake which was posted on the photographer’s Instagram page has since gone viral, receiving likes, comments and several shares on top wedding pages.

According to the photographer, the cake was made by one Mawuena Tsenu of God’s Gift Catering and he left her contact for new customers to call.

And this what we call Ghanaian excellence and ingenuity.
