Growing up, there was this erroneous assertion that children of pastors were mostly stubborn, over-pampered and different from their parents who are constantly leading people to God.

As Ghanaians and the world express shock over strange acts by Daniel Duncan-Williams, last son of Archbishop Duncan-Williams and his ex-wife Francisca on social media, that assertion is rearing its ugly head again.

However, there are also children of Christian leaders in Ghana who are following their parent’s footsteps in church activities and ministries.

While there is a school of thought that believes that this is a strategic move by these mega pastors to place their children in charge of their multimillion-dollar churches when they’re no more in the world, we cannot verify the authenticity of this claim.

Others also offer the view that three pairs of Jesus’ disciples were brothers: Peter and Andrew, James and John, and the other James and Lebbeus (surnamed Thaddaeus) and therefore was a normal trend in Christendom.

However, there seems to be a rise in the number of family churches and we spotted a number of them
