The Ghanaian fashion industry is on fire right now and these are the 13 top designers who keep the wheels in motion and continue to put Ghana on the map in the world of fashion.

1.Ophelia Crossland

 Talking about putting Ghana on the map, Ophelia Crossland became the first African designer to ever exhibit her works at the Swarovski Couture Infinity, one of the world’s big fashion platforms in Dubai.

The decade-old Award-winning fashion house has designed for some influential women in Ghana including former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, Mrs Joyce Bamford Addo, Joselyn Dumas and Nana Aba Anamoah.

2.Christie Brown

The brand has received major attention in the past few years due to their detailing and drive to become the best custom made menswear brand in Ghana.

They say clothing makes a man and Ninteen57 by KOD reflects that adage quite well.

Nineteen57, a word and figurative play on Ghana’s independence year is a Pan-African menswear company creating spiffy and debonair apparels for ostentatious men and men of African descent.

For this design company spearheaded by Nana Kofi Okyere Darko, a leading Ghanaian Broadcaster, it has used their platform and initiative to successfully promote Ghanaian fashion through the ‘Rhythms On Da Runway’ show.

The latest edition comes off on the 31st of August at the Osu Christianborg Castle.

10. Brommon

Brommon makes handmade Italian suits for men and seek to curate a wardrobe for the high-class man that is ready for any occasion or weather situation.
