Naa Ashorkor goes public with her COVID-19 test results

Ghanaian actress/Radio and television personality, Naa Ashorkor Mensah-Doku has tested posted for COVID-19.

She announced the rather gloomy news via social media on Monday after her results had been released

According to the Asaase Radio Presenter, she took the test after feeling unwell on Thursday evening.

Sharing the news on Instagram, the actress said she was isolating at home under her doctor’s orders and was feeling pretty well.

She wrote:

“Hello Family,
After not feeling “like myself”, on Thursday night, I did a Covid test and it came out positive.

I am feeling okay, following my doctor’s instructions, and currently self-isolating at home.

The virus is real. It is still out there. Don’t forget all the safety protocols. Wear your mask at all times. Wash your hands with soap under running water. Use an alcohol-based hand sanitiser .

Stay safe. Covid is still out there.”

Comments and goodwill messages have poured in from various quarters since she made the news public.

Naa Ashorkor has also used the opportunity to advise Ghanaians to constantly wear their nose masks and abide by all the #COVID19 safety protocol

Ghana’s COVID-19 stats currently stands at a total of 47,232 cases with the number of active cases currently at 344.

46,578 patients have recovered while the death toll remains at 310 according to the Ghana Health Service.
