Guess who is in town?? Beyonce's mum, Ms.Tina Knowles is in Ghana for the Year of Return

Beyonce’s mum, Ms. Tina Knowles-Lawson is currently in Ghana as part of celebrations for the Year of Return.

In new photos and videos that have been cited on social media, Ms. Tina Knowles was spotted in the company of her crew and was met with a rousing welcome by traditional dancers at the Kotoka International Airport.

The report of arrival has fueled speculations that her daughter, a global music superstar will be performing in Ghana during the festivities.

A tweeter user posted the news a few minutes after she arrived and wrote: @Beyonce‘s mum land Ghana to the world”

A Beyonce fandom account also confirmed rumours that the Grammy award-winning singer was scheduled to perform at Afrochella.

Other acts currently in Ghana include Rick Ross, Ludacris and many global icons.

The Year of Return is Ghana’s tourism activity geared at inviting black people in the diaspora to visit the nation and commemorate 400 years of the first slaves settling in America and Carribeans.
