#TheAntwis: Sammie and Nana Ama’s destination wedding in Aburi is the beginning of forever

“Between our laughs, long talks, stupid fights, and jokes—I fell in love.I want to grow old with you”- Sorce Photography

Sammie Antwi and Nana Ama’s wedding transported us to the hilly mountains of Aburi and made us dewy-eyed as love was celebrated in December.

We first reported on the birthday party that was turned into a surprise proposal and announced their wedding with a glamorous pre-wedding.

The wedding was nothing short of spectacular and we had all the juice from the event.

Traditional Wedding

The customary marriage was held at the home of the bride, Joyce and was aplomb with Ghanaian culture and pageantry. With shades and pastels of yellow and green as the wedding colours, the event ground was transformed into a masterpiece to seal their love in the presence of the family.

Nana Ama wore a sophisticated cold shoulder corset dress with a peplum and a high slit skirt with intricate beading for her engagement. Spotting curly hair and a customised fan that had “Mrs Antwi” written on it, she joyously posed for the cameras.

Her bridal team also played with different styles in their similar patterned fabric and head wraps.

For the dapper groom, he wrapped his muscular frame with Kente fabric and wore native sandals along with his spiffy groomsmen.

Destination Wedding

Together we made love ❤️”

The hilly mountain of Aburi about 25-30 minutes drive from the capital, Accra witnessed the grand ceremony that saw invited guests frolic in a garden-themed wedding seating and decor.

There’s so much to love about their connection, bride’s gown, and all the happy people at the event.

Scroll down and enjoy the view.
